Fleur Boutique at the Tudor Barn Eltham
On Sunday 6th September, Fleur Boutique attended the Wedding Faye at the Tudor Barn, Eltham.
We had a great day ! We had an opportunity to meet and talk to a large number of people who are interested in getting married locally and using our wedding flower service at Fleur Boutique.
We were also very fortunate to have on our stand an up and coming fashion designer, from Liverpool, who created a stunning bridal gown which we featured. Jen, from Willows Call, also receive many expression of interest in her unique designs. Visit her website at willowscall.bigcartel.com
We were delighted to be among a number of other local business who exhibited at the Tudor Barn event, and it was a great opportunity for us to network with them.

A truly romantic wedding venue and OUR flower !
On Saturday 15th August, it was the greatest of pleasure to help two friends of mine celebrate their wedding at the beautiful Tudor Barn in Eltham.
For the ceremony, the gentleman asked for four modern designs of silver eucalyptus and which oriental lily. These designs where done by creating some large handtied bouquets and by using large monsteria leaves at the base, the bouquets sat firmly into large glass conical vases. We had filled the vases with clear cellophane and then with coloured water. Having set the vases on wrought iron stands the gave height and a sense of grandeur.
The table centre pieces again where handtied bouquets and pleased into cylinder glass containers and placed on mirror bases.
We where truly delighted to have been
part of Marks and John's special day, and from the whole team at Fleur Boutique, we wish them the very best for the future with their new life back in Australia.

I have been working with Mark and John for the past year now , planning the flowers for their wedding and the different styles and colour schemes they wanted.
The had chosen to have the main colours of Lilac and Silver, with a hint of dark purple. A dream colours scheme for any florist. With them being from Australia, the silver was no problem and we made sure that the silver grey foliage of the eucalyptus featured throughout the floral designs.
They had both the wedding ceremony and the reception at the Tutor Barn, which is a truly unique venue - it is the perfect location for weddings, parties and corporate events, and holds the distinction of being the only existing Tudor Barn in London. Surrounded by thirteen acres of parkland and a medieval moat, Tudor Barn Eltham dates back to the 16th century. With its connections to royalty and as the location of some of history’s most celebrated marriages, including The Railway Children’s author Edith Nesbit and Hubert Bland, it is a place steeped in history and tradition.
Both Mark and John had very clear ideas about what they wanted regarding the floral designs on the day. On the wooden stairs leading up to the croft of the barn, they wanted a pedestal of flowers to wow their guests. At the front of the hall they wanted two similar

An extremely productive week in all
What a week it has been !!! I think myself and the whole team at Fleur Boutique need a long deserved holiday after this week.
This week has been of the busiest weeks I have know in the shop for funerals. We where set some real challenges this week, the making a cross word for one of our customers - see the pictures below.
We also did some wonder pieces using yellow roses. The Yellow and Orange heart is one of my favorites this week. The Casket spray was also quite stunning with Cuba Yellow roses and complimented with small yellow spray roses. We finished the whole design with green hypericuim berry.
The Vacant Chair was also a first for us this week, although my colleague Jo felt it was a never ending task ! However, I think the finished design was quite beautiful.
It was a week where everyone ordered crosses - 6 in total. Lynn did a fabulous job on this 4ft Cross, which was in the pastel colours of lilacs and lemons. Very restful and soothing.
Overall the work we produced this week was truly fantastic and I was delighted with everything that everyone was involved in. However, the small white massed posy really stood out for me this week. Sometimes is the simplest of things that the most effective.
